Day 24: Relaxation!
Today was a day of chill. I woke up, showered, tried to wash the salt out of my hair (it sort of worked). Cyndi and I went to lunch at the Japanese place down the street. It was expensive but HELLA GOOD. I miss sushi. I KNOW I probably shouldn't be having sushi in light of my recent hospital visit, but I'm an adult and if I want to make bad decisions I can!Afterwards, Cyndi, David, Laura and I went across the street to the pool and casino. We went up to the pool and there was a photo shoot going on (most likely for the hotel advertisements)! No one was in the pool, so I went down to the casino. I wanted to play Hold 'Em, and the casino manager said I could play a house game right away (versus the dealer and other players--like most blackjack table games are played) or against other players (like most tournaments are played), but that the non-house game started at 6 PM and the minimum amount of chips was $100. I was kind of okay with that, but I didn't want to play right at that moment. I played the slots instead; invested $25 (plus one dollar I found at a machine with no one sitting at it!) and came home with $37.76. WHOO!!!
I went back upstairs to brag about my winnings and hop in the pool, and then the four of us went to dinner. We were supposed to go to a barbecue place, but we walked into the wrong door and went to a Panamanian steak house (I'm pretty sure). It was still delicious! Later on, Laura and I went to this gelato place down the street from the hotel. It was DELICIOUS!
Tomorrow we're going to El Valle (we're meeting at 7 AM in the lobby), so I'm going to try to turn in early.
ONE WEEK (since you looked at me) until I am back in Louisville!!!
