Day 23: Bowling at the mall

We came back from Decameron today. I was so tired! I kept trying to figure out why, and then I realized that I got up at 5:15 AM to watch the sun rise. It was gorgeous though. :) I wish we could have seen the sun come up from the horizon, but there were clouds in the way.

After we got back, I had that "ahhh, we're home" feeling. We went from the quiet roar of the ocean back to honking and car alarms. WHOOO! I missed it.

David, Cyndi, midnight Mike and I went to Allbrook Mall tonight. David wanted to buy a gift for a friend, and the rest of us just wanted something interesting to do. We walked past the movie theater and saw that the new Indiana Jones movie was playing, but the showtime we wanted (7:30 PM) was sold out. :( HOWEVER! There was a 10 o'clock showing, and we got tickets for that. Since it was only 7:15 we needed something to do. We headed to the bowling alley (where we got our butts handed to us by David the first game, and Cyndi the second... Wii bowling rematches when we get home, though!), but first David and I put in a couple rounds of House of the Dead (My God!). It rocked hardcore. :D

Also, Indiana Jones is an AWESOME MOVIE! There was an English version with Spanish subtitles, and there was a Spanish dubbed version. Guess which one we saw! Hint: Mike doesn't know Spanish. (Yes, if you look at the time stamp, you will notice that the movie isn't over at the time this blog is posted. I won't tell if you don't!) On the way out, I referenced Mitch Hedburg because the escalator was shut down ("sorry for the convenience.") and now have a picture of what appears to be me being chased down by a T-rex. It's profile picture material!

Tomorrow, I have a lot of fun things to do: homework, studying for a final, job searching, and apartment searching. I might go to El Valle on Sunday during the day to check out the hot springs and the market place for crafts made by the indigenous Indian people!

EIGHT DAYS (a week)! Are you going to be at the airport for me with gigantic signs and confetti? :D If not, it's okay. It's the thought that counts!
