Day 22: I LOVE YOU, DECAMERON!
I have never had so much fun playing on the beach, collecting shells, having drinks, swimming in pools, eating, and socializing in all of my life.I think it’s hilarious that we can pick each other out of a crowd, like a dinner (my boy) crowd, from a distance because of our tribal Embera tattoos! Also, I got sunburned on my face again. I got my two sunburns so I can go home now. :D
There were some people who were thinking about staying another day or two, since we have a free weekend this weekend, but we have to see how much of a discounted rate we could get. I hope it’s inside my budget! Also, I wanted to check out the indigenous marketplace in El Valle. Hopefully I can check it out on Sunday. I want to do both!
Next week is finals week. It’s amazing to even type those words, much less think it! I have a presentation in both of my classes, and a final on Wednesday. Cyndi and I are having a celebratory ‘date’ on Wednesday, so I have that to look forward to!
