Day 1: Never travel into a country which is celebrating holiday...
I still can’t believe I’m in Panama right now! I teared up a little at the airport while I was hugging James, and I cried during P.S. I Love You because I was thinking about all of the people I (P.S.) love (and also because it’s a tearjerker), but other than that I’ve been feeling pretty awesome. There’s no internet that I can get a hold of in the hotel, so I’m typing this in Word right now.Anyway, it’s been pretty wild and crazy here. No one realized today is Labor Day in Panama, so getting through Immigration and checking 35 people into a hotel took forever and a year to get anywhere. I’m kind of angry at myself for not turning in a project on time, because I clearly need the internet to email it to my professor. I guess tomorrow when we go buy phone cards (which was also tricky since 85% of the stores are closed for the holiday and another 12% because it’s late) I will call my professor and try to bargain with him.
I’m tired, so I’m going to crash. I might take a sinus pill so that my snoring doesn’t wake up all my roommates...
UPDATE (May 2): We have wireless internet in our rooms! Email me as much as you like. Also, my project WILL BE TURNED IN!
