The secret to FAST weight loss!

From one fat kid to another, here's the secret... THERE IS NO SECRET. There is no such thing as "fast" weight loss (water weight doesn't count, because it comes back).

This is what people should do to lose weight.
  1. Eat a balanced diet. You know that food pyramid? Follow that!
  2. Snacking is okay. Fruits, veggies, cheese, and whole grains are good ideas.
  3. Dairy products! Rumor has it that increasing your dairy intake, especially milk and yogurt, helps lose weight.
  4. Stop eating fast food so much. As a matter of fact, stop eating it altogether! If you DO have to get fast food, don't super-extra-biggie size it. Moderation? YES, it exists.
  5. There's nothing wrong with a sweet treat every once in a while. EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE.
  6. Exercise helps.
And that's all there is to it. There is no "secret". There is no "fast" (unless you're only 10 lbs overweight, then you could do it in about 3 weeks). It takes HARD WORK, and STRUGGLING, and there will probably be SMALL FAILURES along the way. If you stick to it, though, you can make it happen.

Now, if only I could practice what I preached...
