The world of work!

After an interesting-enough week of orientation (that's right, it was the whole week), I actually have things to do Monday! Aaron and I walked around our department after the last orientation event since we were done early because everything was shut down. I'm pretty sure we went to places (like basements and places with LOTS of dust and weird fumes) that no one is supposed to go... oh well, that's what happens when you put two curious kids together. I wish that I worked WITH him and shared a desk with him, instead of him in the admin-ish office and me in L1.5 (the tech office). Oh well, he'll probably get bored and commission me to help him with a few projects.

I already miss Mike K... he's like my dork away from home (Speed school). He goes to U Cincy and if there were ever a boy version of me, he could definitely run for it! Mike K is another co-op guy (there's one other guy from U of L--a Civil I've never met named Matt--so that makes 4 new co-ops this semester) who went through orientation with me. There were also a handful of salaried workers (co-ops are hourly) who are lots of fun and very cool to chat with. Aaron and I are the only two that work relatively close. A couple of the salary guys work in our department so we might see them doing things with the steel sometimes. :)

Okay, I'm ready for sleep now. Hope everyone has fun at school! Or on co-op. Maybe I can set up a lunch date with Aaron. ;-)
